Malaysia Tinting Regulations
In Malaysia, the car tinting law is governed by the Road Transport Department (JPJ). According to the JPJ's guidelines, the level of tint that is allowed on car windows depends on the type of window and the type of vehicle:

Front windscreen: The front windscreen of a car must allow at least 70% of light to pass through.

Front side windows: The front side windows of a car must allow at least 50% of light to pass through.

Rear windscreen and rear side windows: Since 2019, the rear windscreen and rear side windows can be tinted to any level of darkness
